Course Overview

Meetings that produce decisions, not just discussion

This course gives seafarers and shore-based teams a practical, structured approach to meetings — from deciding whether one is needed at all, through planning, leading and closing it, to turning decisions into tracked actions.

Built around a five-phase cycle — Purpose, Prepare, Facilitate, Act, Follow Up — the course works through the real pressures of shipboard and ship-shore meetings: limited time, mixed ranks and departments, and the need for a clear, auditable record.

It is suited to anyone who chairs, prepares for or takes part in meetings on board or ashore, whether in person, remote or hybrid.
