Grounded in Canadian legislation and the conventions it implements
This course draws on applicable Canadian maritime legislation, regulations and guidance relevant to deck officers operating in Canadian waters, including the frameworks that incorporate international conventions as implemented under Canadian law.
Compliance leadership, not just regulatory knowledge
At leadership level the question is not only what the regulation says but how you oversee its implementation. Integrated case studies work through the legal duties of Masters and Mates under Canadian law — interpreting requirements, applying them to real shipboard scenarios and exercising judgement when compliance decisions sit with you.
This course builds that competence — completed entirely online, in approximately 45 hours, at your own pace.
