The objective of this course is to develop the knowledge, skills, and practical competencies required to plan, conduct, report, and follow up on internal audits of an organization’s management systems in accordance with the International Safety Management (ISM) Code, the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code, and the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC, 2006).

Assessment:
Each chapter concludes with multiple-choice questions, followed by a final assessment. A passing score of 70% is required. The final assessment is entirely online, with no in-person classroom attendance necessary. A proctor will monitor you during the final assessment. A computer (not a tablet or Chromebook) with a webcam and reliable internet speed is required. A fee may apply for re-attempting the final assessment if you do not achieve the minimum passing score of 70%.

- Device: A desktop computer or laptop is necessary with a Webcam and microphone. The Final Assessment is not compatible with tablets, cell phones, or Chromebooks.
